Familie Deichmann
Hello,
Here are a few photos of our mobile home, which we call Mobi. My husband has built a few things, such as a cupboard at the front and a closed-off base all round the bottom (with ventilation holes, of course, to allow air to circulate).
I think it looks great, and our fellow campers are really impressed too.
Next weekend, my husband is going to put a roof on it. We were worried that our Mobi might start leaking because of its age. So the roof structure is being supported on the sides by eight struts to prevent Mobi from collapsing.
The office has been turned into a second bedroom, where one person can sleep, but also two if you pull out the bed. The room then becomes a full-size bed. You have to climb in from the front when it’s pulled out. No problem for our children.
I don’t have a photo of that, though.
As you can see, we’re working on it with great enthusiasm. We hardly need to do anything inside as everything is in perfect order.
Next year, my husband is planning to build a sort of conservatory, using a lorry tarpaulin and plastic windows. The ground there is very wet. With all this heavy rain, that’s hardly surprising. That’s why we’re raising the floor slightly. I’ll send some pictures of that too. At the moment, our old travel awning is in front of it, but that has to go now. No winter tent!
Best wishes,
Heidi and Erhard Deichmann
